I totally went through the Barbie dismemberment stage and distinctly remember being disappointed that the joints were all different sizes. I wanted to giver her leg arms, but they wouldn't stay.

On top of horrible plastic, Barbie sets little girls up for some serious disappointment about their bodies when they hit adolescence. :(

You were past your playing with Barbie's car stage when I had one (second hand ... maybe even one of the ones you broke elsewhere), I only ever had one new Barbie, and a few older, harder plastic one's from older cousin's ... I think they lasted longer than the one I was given new ... I think your girls may even have played with one of the last survivors ... she had no feet left ... Patch had chewed them off when she was a pup!
I hope all is well there, say hi to all for me.
