This made me think that the sea had taken most of the usual suspects for a little trip. The Mediterranean doesn’t have a gyre as far as I know. Many of the bottles, bags and other assorted items will eventually return to shore. Speaking of bags, I usually begin my trash picking after I find a wild bag or two. Today I was almost finished my walk before I found one shopping bag. I filled it with plastic bottles, two used lighters, some disposable cups, a broken toy bucket with a Spiderman graphic, the mate to the beautiful shoe that was featured on a found clothing blog last month and some unidentified debris. This is a bag that once held disposable diapers. I am kind of glad that it is off season and I haven’t been seeing disposable diapers.
