Are You Up For a Challenge?

Beth Terry over at FakePlasticFish has just put up a blog post asking everyone to tally and photograph a week’s worth of personal plastic consumption.

This sounds like a great project and I hope she gets a broad spectrum of participants. I plan to tally my week starting sometime in the next few days. I almost wish that I had a precision scale for projects like this.

Please check out the details over at FakePlasticFish.com

  1. I’m so excited to see what people end up with. I realize I didn’t specify that people should weigh their plastic because not everyone has as sensitive a scale as I do. It’s a kitchen scale that measures by the .1 ounce. (Do you use ounces or grams in Tunisia?) And I’m certainly not going to recommend anyone go out and buy that brand new piece of plastic!

We use grams. Most food sellers still used scales with iron weights.
