I used to use it until it started to sort of hurt, heh. (I'm female, and the only thing I shave is my legs. I can see where you wouldn't want to scrape up your face.)
BUUUUTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!! I recently saw a video on YouTube where a guy had been using one "disposable" razor for YEARS, and he had a simple trick for keeping it sharp: when it got dull, he rubbed it backwards down his forearm about a dozen times with a decent amount of pressure. (mimicking how people used to sharpen straight-edge razors on a leather strap, he said.) I tried it (when the blade was really beginning to feel irritating..) and it definitely worked! I haven't had to change the blade since I began using the trick a couple months ago.

Well fo me it depends on the season... I don't bother shaving my legs often in the winter, so just under my arms about twice a week... so a razer blade lasts a few months, lol. of course there are alternatives to razers... but they HURT!!!

I use my razors for MONTHS. I use full disposable ones for down there because those are the only ones that come without moisturizing strips, and I use the head changers for my legs, so maybe it helps to use different ones for different areas.

I use the same disposable razor blade for MONTHS. I use it till it quits working. I use 2 different ones for legs and down there so maybe that helps. I use full disposable for down there because they are the only ones that you can et without some moisturizer strip. Then replacable head style for legs.

I remember a Oprah episode a long time ago with an expert talking about the limits of some frugal habits. I think he suggested 5-7 uses for a 'disposable' razor. Does anybody remember that? Since a safety razor can be cleaned more effectively, it should be ok to use it at least that many times.

Several weeks--or until it starts feeling dull. I clean it with very hot water and an old toothbrush every 2 days or so. I think it's just the desire to sell more razors that makes the company encourage you to use a new one so often.

It depends on how it feels. If it hurts, I change it.

I shave with traditional double-edged blades every day and only change the blade every eight to ten days. I do rinse it off every day and flip it at about day five.
