I honestly think that taking a field guide to marine life to the beach and spending some time searching for cool stuff with your kids would provide better entertainment. It’s amazing how completely plastic pervades our life. Earlier this year I was trying to observe a day without plastic, and I couldn’t figure out how to do it. I could figure out how to avoid using more plastic for a day, but my computer has a plastic case, some of my clothes have plastic, my phone has a lot of plastic…I think the best we can hope for in the near future is that a lot of this plastic stuff now made from petroleum will be made from plants that were more recently alive.

I’m looking for a tote for all my kids pool/beach toys. I want the kind that looks like a basket, but is plastic and flexible and has handles.
